For screen recordings and product demos, preserve the visuals and localize the narration around them. Lock interface labels in a glossary, keep each spoken instruction aligned with the action on screen, and review the bilingual subtitles for exact UI wording. TransCast replaces audio and can burn subtitles, but it does not translate text inside the video frames.
What must stay synchronized
A useful demo tells viewers what to do at the moment the relevant control appears. Translation can change sentence length and word order, so reviewers should watch the cursor, clicks, menus, transitions, and loading states while listening to the dub.
Audio dubbing is a natural fit because the original visual sequence stays intact. See audio dubbing vs lip sync if the recording also contains presenter close-ups.
Create a glossary from the interface
Before processing, list button labels, menu names, settings, product names, acronyms, commands, and error messages. The subtitle display should match the localized product exactly; the spoken pronunciation can differ when necessary.
Use the technical tutorial glossary guide to structure these entries. If the product itself is not localized, decide which interface strings should remain in the source language so viewers can find them.
Keep instructions aligned with actions
TransCast translates timed transcript segments and adjusts generated speech toward the original windows. That helps preserve the relationship between narration and on-screen action, but it cannot know whether a translated instruction references the correct control. Watch every action in the final MP4.
When a sentence remains too dense, revise the source recording or split the tutorial into clearer steps before processing another version.
Choose separate or burned subtitles
Every job includes a bilingual SRT. Keep it separate when the destination supports caption tracks, or burn both lines into the video when subtitles must always be visible. Test readability against busy interfaces and avoid covering important controls.
What TransCast does not localize
TransCast does not replace text baked into screenshots, slides, or application frames. It also does not import a product URL, edit the screen recording, batch-process a release series, or generate lip movement.

Product demo QA checklist
- Interface terms match the version and locale shown on screen.
- Each instruction lands near the related click or transition.
- Subtitles do not hide controls, code, or error messages.
- Names, commands, URLs, and numbers remain exact.
- A target-language reviewer has completed the workflow shown.
